As of 11th November 2018, a Call for Proposals for the species featured in the Lacoste x IUCN Save Our Species partnership campaign 2018 has closed.

In February 2018, IUCN’s SOS – Save Our Species entered into a partnership with French global fashion design company Lacoste to champion awareness of threatened species conservation. This public-facing campaign transformed awareness of threatened species by using attractive limited edition polo-shirts where the iconic crocodile logo was replaced by each of ten different threatened species. The number of polo-shirts corresponding to the number of known remaining individual animals in the wild for each species.

From 1st October 2018, IUCN’s SOS issued a call to Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to submit proposals targeting the conservation of any of the ten species featured on the polo-shirts.  The objective of this Call for Proposals was to enable and support CSOs to carry out sustainable survival measures at local level that protect the species, their habitats and improve the livelihoods of the people who live with them.  The ten target threatened species include

2. The Vaquita (Phocoena sinus
